Problem: Windows Sucks

Symptoms: You let the annoying set of bytes "install the latest XP Service Pack 3" to your perfectly operational and god-fearing computer, and all of a sudden you're unable to boot because of interfering BSODs/auto-reboots. No safe mode, no terminal, no recovery. When you, however, remove all your USB devices (which might be your only interface mechanism), it boots fine, as if nothing was wrong with Microsoft engineers.

Solution: STFI (search the internet) and reach this page. Then, read this entry completely and after memorizing the contents or contributing to deforestation, do the following:
  1. Remove your USB possessions
  2. Find a PS/2 keyboard-mouse pair
  3. Connect it
  4. Boot
  5. Go to Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager
  6. Carefully but mercilessly, uninstall drivers for everything in the USB section
  7. Go to Action -> Scan for hardware changes
  8. Let the thing install everything automatically
  9. Reboot
  10. Connect the USB mouse/keyboard and return your neighbor's antique devices
  11. Make sure the odd webcam is working. If not, find your installation CD/DVD/website/buddy
  12. Enjoy ze SP3 with enhanced performance features of the new webcam drivers
  13. Leave a thank-you comment here
  14. Refresh several times to increase hit-count
  15. Recommend my blog to friends
  16. Have your girlfriend call me for a date
  17. Build me a house
  18. Nominate me for President
  19. Serve as my minion for 7 years after which, you can have your girlfriend
